Chairman of ThisDay Newspaper and President of the Newspapers Proprietors Association of Nigeria (NPAN), Nduka Obaigbena, submitted himself to the EFCC on Tuesday Jan. 26th after being indicted in the on-going arms deal scandal. He is alleged to have received N670 million from the office of the NSA, which he acknowledged but said N500 million was paid to ThisDay as compensation for the terrorist attack on the newspaper by Boko Haram and the rest was distributed as compensation to other newspapers houses whose offices were invaded by the military when it seized copies of papers and obstructed circulation operations.
